Riverdale - Shadow Of A Doubt

Hiram has snaked his way around Archie again. If only he could show the same loyalty to his father; who needs his support if he wants to win this election. His true plan comes to light, when Reggie reveals that it was Hiram pays them and encouraged the group to have "their fun" on the South side. Hopefully Archie now realizes that Hiram has no loyalty to anyone but himself and he's using this to his advantage, showing to the people of Riverdale that Fred isn't a suitable parent let alone a suitable mayor. The Black Hood uses the debate in the Town Hall as target practice and the townspeople are left shaken. FINALLY, Archie stands with his father after realizing that he was a pawn in Hiram's game. Afterwards, Hiram and Veronica come to heads over Hermione running for Mayor. As a replacement for Archie, Hiram has snaked Reggie into his plan and got him fired up about the release of Fangs.

Betty compares herself to the Black Hood; taunting herself with the infamous mask. The serpents come together to protect Fangs from the vicious crowd of hyenas that has gathered outside of the police station; while music plays that perfectly captures the impending doom of Riverdale. All the while, Betty contemplates her sanity and Cheryl goes to answer a knock at the door; to see who? The Black Hood!

In general, this episode is leading up to the big finale at the end of the season. Betty seems to be biting off more than she can chew as she gives the impression that she is becoming more unstable and unable to deal with the consequence of her actions. I think the Black Hood is building her up to be his replacement or sidekick, with the two growing an understanding of each other. Archie is out for the Black Hood, but he can no longer rely on Hiram or his "Dark Circle" friends anymore. Veronica can't stand her father's cold attitude and has joined Team Andrews. Fangs is left lying on the cold tarmac road as the blood escapes from his wound. Cheryl and Betty is paid a visit by yours truly, the Black Hood and to say that she was terrified would be an understatement. I can tell you for a fact that the Black Hood isn’t any of these characters : Cheryl, Betty, Kevin, Archie, Jughead, Hermione, Hiram, Chic, Josie, Mayor McCoy, Fred, Reggie, FP, Pops, Sheriff Keller. I'm still unsure of whether Hal could be the Black Hood or not, so we'll have to wait until next weeks episode...
